Bio
Originally from the midwest, Kate earned her undergraduate degree from the prestigious Oberlin College. Post-grad, Kate secured a position as a researcher at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta.
Seeking to expand her medical knowledge, Kate enrolled at Emory University for her graduate studies in midwifery. She is dual-certified as a certified nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner, providing full-scope care to women of all ages.
Kate is a passionate advocate for women's health, and believes it is central to the well-being of our families and communities. She served as President of Health Students Taking Action Together, a non-profit organization that advocates for improved health policy in Georgia. Kate currently serves on the board of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Nurse Midwives and seeks to improve the health and well-being of women across the state of Georgia.
Kate's passion is for education, empowerment, and advocacy in a traditional healthcare setting. She demonstrates compassionate care in a judgement-free and supportive setting, and has extensive experience providing care to underserved patient populations, including adolescents and the LGBTQ community.
Kate lives in the Cabbagetown neighborhood of Atlanta. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin, outdoor adventuring, and spending time with her two cats and partner, Vance.
Kate is currently accepting new OB and GYN patients at our Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, and Cumming locations.
