What is PWC doing about the Covid-19 virus?
We are taking many precautions to keep you healthy! Please note the following new information.
-Peachtree Women’s Clinic is open and seeing patients; however, we are limiting any non-emergent appointments. We encourage all OB patients to keep scheduled appointments. Problem gynecology visits are scheduled on a case by case basis. Routine annual (well woman), screening mammograms and bone density appointments will be cancelled and rescheduled when more information evolves. Gynecology ultrasounds are being performed on an individual basis.
-We are offering telemedicine visits with your provider as a way to limit disruption to your treatment plan. If you are an established patient, this is a great way to communicate with your provider about medication changes, and other concerns. If you are interested in a phone consultation, please contact the office. WiFi is needed. Medicare and many insurance companies are allowing these visits to be reimbursed as a way to limit viral exposure.
-Please be aware that we are limiting travel to one office for our providers and employees. This is to prevent the transmission of virus in case of an office exposure. We are phoning patients to move appointments as needed. Our providers are working diligently to ensure that we are available to take care of you for the duration of the pandemic. We cannot guarantee that you will see your scheduled provider at the scheduled location; however, we are trying to accommodate all preferences. This is temporary and ask that you be patient with us as we continue to limit exposures in our office. We have also implemented increased measures to ensure sanitation.
-At this time, we are not seeing sick patients. We do not have the ability to test or treat for the Corona virus. If you have a temperature greater than 100.4, cold symptoms, congestion or cough, please call your primary care physician. If severe respiratory symptoms or shortness of breath, please go to the emergency department. Please do not come to this office.
-Scheduled patients are being contacted via phone by a member of our staff prior to the appointment as a way to screen all patients before they enter our offices. We also ask that you come to your appointment ALONE. We cannot allow family members or children to come back with you for your appointment. This is to ensure the health of you and your family as well as our providers and staff. You are encouraged to Facetime your loved one during your Obstetric appointments and ultrasounds. We love the privilege of sharing these special moments with your family!
We will continue to update our website and social media accounts with new information. Thank you for your patience and stay healthy!
