Bio
Dual-certified as a nurse-midwife and a family nurse practitioner, Marissa's passion for providing comprehensive women's healthcare is undeniable. She loves that she gets to spend her workdays helping women and their families navigate healthcare and pregnancy!
Marissa's goal is to provide three things to each patient: education, support, and empowerment. During her time at Emory University, she helped pilot a study on Centering Pregnancy Care, where she led groups of women in educating them on their changing bodies, sharing their prenatal experiences, and developing a community of positivity. The bonds that she developed with her patients continued to reinforce her commitment to full-scope care of women during their childbearing years and beyond.
In addition, Marissa teaches our childbirth education class. She has a wonderful disposition for teaching and educating women about pregnancy! Marissa speaks Spanish, making the class a valuable learning space for both English and Spanish-speaking patients.
Outside of work, Marissa loves to spend time cooking, traveling, and reading. She also enjoys staying active by going to the gym and hitting the trails for long hikes.
Marissa is currently accepting new OB and GYN patients at our Sandy Springs, Alpharetta, and Cumming locations.
