Bio
Dr. Xu is originally from Sugar Land, Texas, but has now spent the majority of her life in Atlanta. She has always had a heart for women's health. She studied at Emory University for undergrad, then earned her medical degree from the University of South Alabama College of Medicine. She completed her OB/GYN residency training at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia.
During residency, she focused on improving care for women with hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, including leading a project on home blood pressure monitoring. She was also honored to receive an award for compassionate outpatient care.
Her clinical interests include high-risk pregnancies with a focus on hypertension, as well as minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, contraception counseling, and managing uterine fibroids. She's passionate about creating a welcoming space where patients feel heard, supported, and truly cared for.
Outside of work, you can find Dr. Xu traveling, exploring new restaurants, reading a good book, or spending time with her husband and pup, Teddy.
