Julie Fryman, MD

Julie Fryman Portrait

Dr. Fryman, a native of Canton, graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2004. She worked in Cartersville Georgia for 2 years before opening her own practice in Cumming, Georgia in 2006. In 2017, her husband was awarded a position in the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. At this time, she decided to take a yearlong sabbatical from medicine to accompany her husband and children to Pennsylvania. Upon her return in July 2018, she joined Peachtree Women’s Group to work in their Canton and Cumming offices. She chooses Peachtree Women’s Group because of their willingness to allow her to focus primarily on gynecology only services and the long-standing solid reputation of the physicians in this group.

Dr. Fryman enjoys seeing patients with complex gynecology problems such as vulvar disorders, pelvic pain and menopause difficulties. She enjoys getting to the root of the problem and making a treatment plan that is amendable to the patient: “It is not unusual to see a patient that has been struggling for many years with a symptom and therefore has seen multiple doctors. Most of the time the answer is obtained just by listening to the patient.”

She also is a very skilled minimally invasive surgeon and enjoys performing the life changing surgeries that gynecology can offer women.

She has developed a medical device called JEL life that helps with pain that a woman may have with intercourse; she is very passionate that gynecological conditions not dictate a woman’s life.

Dr. Fryman is married to a Blackhawk Pilot in the United States Army and they have two girls, ages 19 and 12. She enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with her family.
