Jose A Garcia, MD

Jose Garcia Portrait

Dr. Garcia has been practicing at the Peachtree Women’s Clinic for more than 30 years, and he truly appreciates and loves every day in this practice. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, he is fluent in Spanish as well as English. Given his bilingual skills, he has the privilege of caring for both English and Spanish-speaking patients. His passion is providing not only primary and specialty care, but also continuing care.

Dr. Garcia went to school at Duke University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the Duke University Medical Center. His published works discussing and exploring nausea and vomiting during pregnancy as well as sickle cell disease in pregnancy, among others, have contributed greatly to the medical community’s discussion of how to better improve the experience and health for both mother and baby during pregnancy. Dr. Garcia is married and has four daughters and two sons. In his downtime, he likes water sports/boating, motorcycles, gardening, reading and, of course, parenting.
