John G. Moore, MD

John Moore Portrait

Dr. Moore is from the South: his hometown is Rome, Georgia; he attended the University of Tennessee for his undergraduate degree and the Medical College of Georgia for his medical degree. His residency was at Georgia Baptist Medical Center. He is involved in a variety of professional organizations, including serving as president of the Georgia OB/GYN Society from 1997-1998. A third-generation physician, Dr. Moore chose to practice in OB/GYN because he was drawn to the variety, enjoying everything from delivering babies to performing surgery and providing primary health care to women. It’s a joy for him to see the babies he has delivered grow up each year. Dr. Moore and his wife, Theresa, have two sons (Cliff and Brent) and are members at Dunwoody United Methodist Church. He has volunteered to serve on two mission trips to Brazil. In his free time, Dr. Moore enjoys golf, hiking, boating, exercising and watching football.
