Janice Collins, CNM

Janice Collins Portrait

Mrs. Collins is originally from Tupelo, Mississippi. Since she was a young girl, Janice has always wanted to work with mothers and babies. She studied at the University of Alabama where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Mrs. Collins then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Armstrong Atlantic State University. She obtained her Master of Science in Midwifery from the Midwifery Institute at Philadelphia University. She completed her clinical training at the Family Health and Birth Center—Midwife Group and Birth Center—in Rincon, Georgia, and Gatewood OB/GYN in Americus, Georgia. Mrs. Collins is married and has two wonderful teenage boys, both of whom were delivered by a midwife. When she’s not working, Mrs. Collins likes spending as much time as possible with her family. An avid reader and movie buff who loves to spend time in her yard and on the water, Janice keeps her energy up and her stress level down by attending Jazzercise classes several times a week.
